I know Smith had back to back shutouts, but I have 0 confidence in him watching him in Arizona this year.

Did every other Canadian goalie reject the offer?

Its interesting to see Canadian people change theyre minds about bigger ice surface... Igor Larionov was right in saying Crosbys and co are product of the fast and skill game that the red army played... back in those days Canadians were outmatched nowadays they have catched up because the standard set by team Red Army. Back in the day canadians accepted the dirty Broad street bullies way and considered that the correct style of hockey everyone cheering for them buth truth is soviets were miles ahead in skill and speed etc. So its ironic that the style canadians didnt like of soviets is now admired as the preferred model.

its almost as if the sport has evolved or something

Is this real life? :sarcasm:

it's like team canada wants to go watch the Chicago/Ducks game. such a fast pace.

i dont think the speed of this game has anything to do with the ice size, it has more to do with the speed of both teams.... you have two offensive and fast teams with offensive dcores, thats why it is like this, not because the boards are wider...

Canada doesn't play a Soviet style.

Some people are always critisizing Smith here although he makes such a good job in the playoffs so far
