Yes, it's made that way for a reason. And the reason is because there has to be a limit on what things above the ice surface that are hittable objects without a penalty, jumbotron, rafters and loudspeakers for example. It's not case closed at all. The rules say an object above the ice surface. Not the part of the object above the ice surface. It's made that way for a reason. The refs aren't going to come out with a ruler and measuring tape after watching the replay to determine if that part is above the ice.
Grow up, it was one of the best gold medal games in a while. The refs sucked, but they were equally bad for both teams. Mental toughness was the only difference. Tjose dumb penalties (punch in the face after the period and playjng with a broken stick) were the just 2 prime examples. The opposite of classic, really.
The turned skate, the non-call...
It was a great game with refs mistakes all over.
Maybe this win will at least curb the "Canada can't win when not on home ice" crowd.
You know, being a poor winner is much worse than being a sore loser.
Every time! They brought their own crowd with them this time.![]()
Every time!
Nah.
When is the last time Canada won on big ice?
I don't think you are wrong. Besides the hockey it's pretty appealing as a tourist destination. I think that helped a lot.One of the larger crowds I’ve seen in Europe for the WJCs.
Maybe I’m wrong.
In all sports. It's a thankless job and it's becoming tougher and tougher to find people willing to do it.Reffing is a problem in hockey in general, not only IIHF.
I'm not sure either, personally I think that delay of game penalty is cheap and should be abolished. The puck always hit the object above ice level, if you shoot it over the class. Why they give penalties ever?
