The difference is that in the WJC they usual have two similarly skilled goalies whereas in the NHL one goalie is usually way better than the other one. Hard to justify pulling your starter for a backup who, even on a good night, might not be better than the starter on a bad night

I've seen a few teams do it and it's worked against my team. ;)

He's been doing great forechecking and grinding defenders this tournament. He knows his role on this team.

lol at people giving it t Gauthier for not scoring. That isn't his role, he was never supposed to be a scorer.

Can people in here make the difference between junior hockey and NHL hockey? Yep, CLEARLY, Gauthier will never be a scorer in the NHL. But in Juniors, with the players he plays with, against the opposition he's facing, he's more than capable to put that puck in the net.

Canada needs to stop standing around and forcing passes. They're playing right into Russia's hands. Need to go back to playing their game. Use their energy like in the beginning of the game.

I get emotion and celebrating but at some point you are just being a jackass. Taunting a bench, giving your opponent a hit after the goal when he's just standing there, that's crossing that line.

Yeah I don't mind it.

Emotions were flying on both sides and the guy who scored had just got nailed with a borderline late hit after he shot the puck.

**** happens.

I'm pretty sure a Canadian player made the hit after the Russian goal and a Russian player responded.
