And I know the reason. You live in your own bubble. We Europeans watch our national league, CHL, KHL, NHL, Worlds, Olympics, World Cups… what ever because WE CARE about this sport. You care about your own stars only. You cannot chant for your country if there are not best players like McDavid, MacKinnon, Makar. We either had Barkov, Rantanen, Aho and the others but we still care.
MLB is not even a thing here or in most parts of the world. Some people follow basketball. Many follow the NHL. Real football is big here too and local sports and what not.

I don't know man , I live in Quebec and international tournaments are def not as popular as the actual NHL or at least the Montreal Canadiens, it is what it is, I don't appreciate my fellow Canadians chirping other countries and I'm sure if I was born in a Euro country I'd be much more invested in international hockey. The NHL is the best league in the world and it's in North America I don't see why you got defensive from what I said. I'm not dissing these international tournaments by saying people here dont really care that much about them... I'm just stating what I've noticed from living in Canada my entire life

Yeah WJC is pretty big here. But like you said yeah, I agree, Canadians prefer best on best tournaments or else they just don't hold the same weight. Probably why the olympics and WJC tournaments are the only ones really on the radar here
