Ayyy, this is how it feels like to be the team getting favored calls? Ok ok. Chuckled a lot to the embellishment by Björninen, not gonna lie.

Didn’t expect y'all canucks to care tbh

Not sure why a lot of people do... no one cares about this tournament, happy for the fans in Finland, especially at the game.

These tournaments are equivalent to the last Olympics, it means nothing, it is "who has the best players who were available and wanted to go", not "who is the best at hockey"

To be fair Mikael Nord tried to shaft both teams. God damn that frasing on the coaches challenge could not have been more unclear if he tried.

Also Congrats! Very Well deserved gold!
I think he confused both benches.

Björninen is also a guy known to take a beating for a win. Not the kind of guy to fall too easy.

That was most definitely a dive. And he tripped Chabot on top of that. The refs missed that but it’s not the home team’s fault. They capitalized like they should.

It's time for some NHL team to hire Jukka Jalonen as the head coach, and get him into the Triple Gold club where Mike Babcock is the sole member as a coach. Jalonen is already sounding like loose change in the pockets with all the national team gold medals he has.

But when the calls at crucial moments went Canada's way against Sweden it was all fine and dandy, right? Because when Nylander tripped a Canadian at 3 on 3, it wasn't a dive, right? But now it was? Because it was AGAINST Canada. Oh, I see!
I didn't watch the semifinal, I was at the hospital.

How does misspeaking (as bad as it is for the IIHF's image) at all compares to calling an own high stick to create a 5-on-3 and missing an obvious trip in OT?
It doesn’t but the whole idiocy makes the finnish team cheer just too have them shot down again.

Good for Finland. Nice to see them win on home ice. The call in OT was legitimate, and the Finns capitalized. Yeah, you could have called the player for obstructing Chabot immediately after, they also could have killed off the powerplay. Calls not going your way sucks, but part of the game, like anything else, you just have to play through. I'd probably care more if we had lost to Russia or the US, but I can't hate Finland or Sweden, they're still cool.
I think that’s how most Canadians feel. Just hate losing to the Yanks and the Russians.

Sure it did, but then it settled back down in its original position before the puck went in.

TSN showed the super slow motion replay.
No it never went back. Look at the view from above. Before the tackle you can see the goal line clearly. After the tackle it's diagonal to the goal line.

And if that's not enough the goal shouldn't have counter because its a f-ing cross-check

But again, better didn't win, even the call in overtime (was absolutely hooking) the Finnish player clearly dove. When the refa weren't directly impacting the game Canada controlled things. Congratulations on winning, but that was an extremely disappointing performance from the officials to so directly impact the final result
No-call on 3-2 was blatant. Without that there never was an OT.

Yes, those two little slashes Sillinger had did not warrant penalty, not in finals at least. And if called, obviously not as a high stick.
