It was a pretty good night overall for goalies led by the guy you told us all to keep an eye on in that Blackwood kid. He fought off a tough Stars team giving up zero softies but that's what we've come to expect from him as you've always told us.

I just wandered in here for the first time and WOW!

Always was a @Bleedred fan but this takes it to another lever.

Incredible work.
I really appreciate this. I thought you were paging me about a softy tonight (I saw a couple on Jarry, earlier in the game, but am not caught up on hardly anything from tonight) or something.

I've been doing this several years, this is probably year 7? There's a few loyal fans who check it out. It's not too popular BUT....I do like that I have archived everything. Both on here and in my own notes over the years.

Outside of when I was reckless and depressed in 2020 and f***ed up my notes for the 2020 playoffs lol.

Thanks for checking it out though!

Now that I know about it - I'll be in here more often.

Actually makes me want to go back and check out some of the goals I missed.

Again, awesome stuff.

You can save yourself some time and just automate this every day with a “softy by some random player on Georgiev” post.
Were really bordering on “someone needs to get fired” for the fact that they still keep starting Georgiev every night.

Has Kahkonen even been able to report to Colorado yet? Usually as we see at the deadline around the league when a US based team acquires a player from a Canadian based one sometimes it could take a week or even slightly longer for the player to finally come over for immigration/visa reasons.

I still see Georgiev and Annunen both dressed every game.

Maybe they feel with Korpisalo at the other end they have some margin for error?

I wonder if it's due to it being so early in the season and players/teams are still getting into their groove.

@Bleedred how does October softie numbers compare to other months? Do you have readably available stats for that? Sorry if that is a tall ask.
While I have all of my stats going back to 2018-2019, I do not have the splits by month.

I will say this, I think the percentage of goals I’ve counted stoppable so far is lower than the average of the last couple of years, but there’s so much fluctuation this early in the season that just a couple of bad nights could push it to a significantly higher percentage than recent years.

The league average save percentage coming into tonight was .896% though, after averages of .904% and .903% the last two seasons. I suspect there’s a highly probable chance that league save percentages end the season over .900%. 1995-1996 was the last year the league average was below .900% or even below .901%.

The real question is, does Bleed's goaltending model have a Softies Per 60 stat?
