Teams win 75% of the time when they win game 1. Not sure why people are so confident?

Hell of a lot of hubris by those saying shutout during the game.

Frustrating game. Based on media reports would have thought we were playing the greatest team assembled, but thought we outplayed them for most of the game. Bob stole that one. Will credit the Panthers for playing well with the lead, but overall a very ordinary team. Had any of their fans ever been to a game before? Would have thought the building was empty, zero atmosphere.

The Oilers were CLEARLY the better team.

Flukekovsky was the only reason that this game wasn't a blowout...

Most depressing game of the playoffs. All that strong play for a nice big plate of nothing. Florida hasn't even played well yet. That's the worst part. Getting shutout is not a good look either.

The Rangers and Bruins best players were their goalies, they made them look better than they are

Bouch and drai killing so many plays. Too many back passes, cute passes, no shots on prime chances. And Bobrovsky showed Skinner what a #1 goalie looks like. And why are Ceci and nurse together. How many times do we need to see that combo fail

Shitty result. But we played good. More than good enough to have won this game.

Got goalied tonight hard.

Generated plenty of chances, both in zone and off the rush. Need to find some finish for Game 2.

The hard Cats forecheck and defence broke down plenty.

Losses suck. But out of all the possible ways to lose, this one bodes the best for our chances moving forward. We were the better team all night.

If hockey god was superman, a nurse Ceci pairing is kryptonite.

What a horrible decision
Yup. Knob adjusts though. I’ll give him that. Let’s hope we see a different look next game

Of course I wanted the Oil to win, but we predicted a run that parallel's '09 Penguins.
2nd round they were also down 2-3 to Washington, a division rival, and came back, like Oil

In '09 Pittsburgh also faced a team returning for consecutive finals in Detroit. Pittsburgh went down 0-2 that series and stormed back to win game 6 and 7 for Crosby's first chip

Even if we lose game 2, we all just saw Edmonton control that game, once they come back home, the momentum will commence

PS. I want Deharnais back. Over 60 hits, that'll eventually wear them down. We need big VD

Probably deserved better, but a hat tip to Bobrovsky. We need to get more traffic and chaos on net and break up Nurse-Ceci in game 2.
