I've long maintained that playoff teams in pro sports should all be able to send a private shortlist of like 3 officials that they don't want calling their playoff games, if a ref ends up on 15 lists then clearly he shouldn't be officiating playoff games so he loses out on that extra income, meanwhile the guy that's only on 1 or 2 lists is probably pretty damn good and gets rewarded for it by getting more work.

Again, nearly every game I watch, not just nucks, is severely impacted, to ruined by egomaniac blind guessing refs making it up as they go.

Getting harder and harder to care about the really quite bad product the nhl provides.
