I think he’s one of those guys who only had a few teams he’d likely re-sign with. Still hasn’t had contract talks with Washington yet apparently and is probably going to want something ridiculous

Then give him something ridiculous. Even as a rental, a 3rd round pick is a steal. Chychrun is a legit #3 RHD at the time of the trade and is playing like a #2 on a better team. Just a giant missed opportunity.

Demko from last year saves the first and third goal and this is just a 1 goal game right now. Not sure why stuff is going through his pads so much this year.

Not his fault though the team is running around, but this team did that last year too at times and he saved us. Sucks to not have above average goaltending when we are used to it being a strength.

Yea we saw the same thing in 22-23 with Demko hurt most of the year. When you consider that this is the type of goaltending some good teams have managed to get by with in recent years you realize how far this team still needs to go

They don’t have much choice.

I think 6 weeks ago they thought maybe they could make it work this year.

Personally think they essentially given up on the season already and this needs addressing at the TDL or offseason.

Problem is there is just so much work to be done.

This is on them and their huge miscalculation of the players they let leave and the ones brought in.

Hughes, Vd, Myers, Soucy and Hronek are all signed for next year. There nothing to do, the team is primed. I guess Forbort needs replacing.
