Then obv easier to trade Miller and really give the team to Hughes and EP and hopefully some near elc top talent + improved depth & defense.

this team is running out of belief in itself and regressing back to the bad days.

miller and pettersson can both suck only so long before the team sags under the weight.

There's no way Tocchet gets fired when the team hasn't been healthy all season.

The injuries basically give everyone (including management) a free pass.

But honestly our defence, even when healthy, is so bad that management deserves criticism.

You may be right about injuries being the reason management doesn't make a coaching change, but I still think it should be a serious consideration at this point. Agreed about the defense being management's fault.

Having said that, team chemistry and IMO the system are fundamental issues, and a new coach could potentially address both. The offense is broken, PP is a mess, and they're no longer defensively consistent. It's, bad, hard to watch hockey and wasting arguably the best talent we've ever had.

Name one thing he can and will excel at if the team keeps him over Miller, Pettersson and Boeser?

The problem is, a lot of lottery teams are going with rookies and first and second-year guys. At least they're offering their fans some hope for the future.

I thought they needed help by early December when Hronek went down, the defense went into the abyss and the whole team was out of it.

Now it’s January and it’s coming home to roost, team is bad and it’s been hanging by a thread.

Also, I’m fully convinced JT Miller lost his side piece and he’s been sulking like a bitch.
