This is the same management that was comfortable going into the season with this defence and potentially Silovs as a starter and thought everything would be fine. I don't have alot of faith in them right now...

Much as I want to blame Tocchet's conservative style. It's hard to expect anything with this craptastic defense. I mean, the hell are you supposed to do with Forbort, Desharnais and Juulsen?

But didn't he want bigger defensemen like Forbort, VD, etc.

It baffles me why they don't go with 7 D.

Play branstorm if you need to create offense. Play the slugs if you have a lead or get into penalty trouble.


As a bonus you have 11 forwards dressed creating competition for ice time.

f***ing Soucy chases up to the blueline, Myers-esque, and of course it comes back down low with one defenceman trying to defend two guys. Just lucky that the pass didn't get across. Our defencemen are so undisciplined.

Tocchet as an assistant coach with Boudreau would have been a good mix. Tocchet hasn’t had any kind of success as a head coach and plays a regressive offensive system that plays against the teams strengths.

Let’s not make a mistake like trading Pete. Let’s find a Montgomery or Carbery, someone that can bring a balance between offense and defense.
