Canucks coaches have done a great job today using Hughes/Bear as a 5man offensive unit with the EP line. Unfortunately it means the other units are awful, but oh well.

Coach needs to stop Hughes from taking point shots
No. In general, he really just needs to realize his slap shot ant going to overpower anyone and just get shots through for people to tip. A hard shot isn’t his game but no reason why sneaky wrist shots can’t be.

10 goals on 54 shots….tenders are getting better!

Yeah I think if ends to shoot he needs to really pick his spot. He’s not prime Weber so he really needs to stop doing throws bad Weber impression

Exactly. Bear and Schenn both do a great job of this.

Lockwood looks a lot better than what he showed in preseason. Deserves a line blender move up eventually too

Boeser with two opportunities that Kuzmenko would’ve converted on.

I say this actually out of being calm and not angry at the game but …. I wouldn’t care much if FA sold the team to an American billionaire who moved it to Portland or Kansas City whatever.

It’s been bad for so long and it’s 6-7 years away from getting rid of bad contracts ASSUMING we don’t sign any more which is a dumb assumption. Missing on Virtanen, Juolevi, Podkolzin all top 10 overall picks in 7 years was a death blow. Trading for OEL and signing Miller until 2030 was icing.

Don't know how the coaches and team can't see the practice they need on the powerplay is shooting. Outside of Horvat nobody on the first unit can seem to hit a corner or the net half the time. Hughes misses the net from the point, miller constantly misses, boeser misses. Last powerplay summed it up. It's such a simple basic thing they probably don't think of it.

It's funny cause it's rehabbing Miller's value + boosting Kuzmenko's next contract, but at the risk putting us back into fake playoff picture meaning they are less likely to capitalize on the value of both players, the latter being one who could walk for nothing after a PPG season.

I don’t think this is actually going to be a problem.
