The pain I feel seeing a Forbert-Myers top pairing must be what giving birth feels like. Giving birth to a really disappointing kid.
Disagree...We can finally see what an unshackled Tyler Myers can do offensively...unburdened by his stifling defensive responsibilities he should be all over the ice creating beauty...like a Jackson Pollock painting.

Im actually kind of sick and tired of hearing Tocchet say ‘this is an opportunity for guys… blah blah’ Brannstrom played well and seized the opportunity and what was his reward? One shift in the final 5 minutes while you ride the other 2 pairings to a historic collapse.

Super looking forward to another game where Forbort, Myers and Soucy all play over 20 mins.

I'm not going insane.

I'm not!

I'm pretty sick of him also.Never liked him period.I could not care if he won coach of the year..he over achieved with a hot team last season. This season he is coaching the way I knew it was gonna happen.

There's just very little to be optimistic about heading into 2025. Our best players are injured, our prospects aren't ready or available to make the jump, several of our recent signings are duds, and the team dynamic seems out of order.

Don't overthink it. It only feels like shit right now. Sometimes things do right before they get better as well.

I made the mistake of thinking we were finally out of the woods last season. The first half felt like a dream. Turns out that's exactly what it was.

Yes Mr. Tocchet, stellar opportunity for Forbort and Myers, who have a combined age of 66, to play top-pairing minutes. Good to see the young guys getting opportunities.

I honestly think they should just shut Pettersson down for a while. He's clearly playing with chronic injuries. And there's obviously something going on with Miller.

That contract signing looks worse all the time.

Interesting note from the SN650 morning show today ... Brannstrom led all defenders in 5-on-5 ice time against Seattle. When he was on the ice the Canucks outshot the Kraken 10-4. After the Juulsen tomfoolery deflection goal, Brannstrom played one more shift the rest of the game. The rest of the defense can't move the puck.
Yeah but Brannstrom smol

The one who took an entire month off in pre-season and then took another month off, has significantly regressed compare to last season and is considerably older. i won't say who 🙃 though
One thing i dont understand is why when Miller came back we couldnt distribute minutes like before he came back. Give Hughes minutes to Petey, play Blueger more etc. Ease Miller in, especially when it was clear his conditioning wasnt great and he was falling behind on the backcheck or missing assignments. Now we have no choice but it made no sense to play Miller like he was around all season. We literally lost games because of Miller mistakes and lost momentum entirely. Not sure if anyone else on the team had mistakes like that they would continue to be first man over the boards in OT every time etc.

He will come around eventually but man did we need to ease him in a bit. Too late now though, we need him to step up on both ends of the ice and badly.

Hughes is the Norris winner. He is going to play 25+ minutes a game on average. It is not atypical. Just as it’s not atypical to have another big minute d-man as well.

That's what top defensemen do and have always done....get about 25 minutes on average (some days will be higher some lower). It's not a concern.

Don't worry right.... It's not a concern

Just some comments from over a month ago when questioning if playing Hughes too much would be a problem because we needed more depth.
