Yes not too optimistic here. The Flames show-up and have proven adept at taking advantage of team weakness. The defense will have it's hands full on transition tonight and will have to move the puck quickly, which they generally suck at.

Adapting Without Hughes & Pettersson

• Have guys in elevated roles
• Hughes is a major part of their offence; need to play simpler
• Not going to get “3 high plays” because Hughes isn’t playing
• Don’t defer and shoot the puck more

Defencemen

• Looking for the sweet spot between playing simple and making a play
• Can’t have the defenceman flipping pucks off the glass every time
• Have had opportunities to get shots on net in the middle of the ice and thew defencemen have been deferring to the flanker instead of shooting
• Need to get shots early
• Brannstrom is going to be running PP1
