Always a bad idea because you are competing with many other teams and usually have to overpay. Teams typically have more cap flexibility then as well.

They made two good signings in the offseason, Sherwood and Lankinen. DeBrusk is decent for his cap hit.

Everything else sucked. We all knew that this defence was going to have problems.
