Canucks are playing classic Tocchet hockey on a back-to-back, but my gawd the lack of scoring and size on their wings is just jarring in a game like this.
Every once awhile there's a game that cries out to be played on a larger rink....and this game is one of them. It's like a brick wall in front of both goaltenders.

They're pretty clearly not trying to defend for 40min. They can't get the puck up ice.
Why do we have to listen to this clown talk about the Canucks after what he said.
The team is playing an extremely safe defensive game, because the defense, other than Hughes of course, can't do anything remotely on offense. They're ok playing defense provided the forwards are all back helping. Almost every play they've generated on offense dies when it lands on the stick of the D.
They're playing as best they can, but they're up against it when you've got nothing threatening from five of your defenders. Maybe Soucy pots the odd goal?
