van's at an interesting point with their forwards once suter gets back in terms of who goes on waivers

my guess is a trade happens before hand but i also thought another trade would have happened in the last 6 weeks so

I don't think Friedman is anything special but I don't think it makes sense to have him coming out of the lineup to play guys like McWard

I don't mind playing McWard over Freidman. Freidman has been decent, but has zero upside. I know MS is down on McWard, but he has had stretches where he's looked solid and does have long term upside.

The bigger ??? is why McWard over Woo. Pretty universal consensus from the folks who watch Abby that Jett is playing much better right now. Unless it's about keeping Abby competitive (which it shouldn't be) hard to understand this decision imo.

Maybe waiver exempt status?

McWard was called up before Woo got injured. Surprised Friedman is getting scratched, I think he's been a perfectly fine #6.

I think he’s been fine too, though I think he’s kind of tailed off a bit along with the rest of the team since he first arrived. I don’t mind giving another player a look. It’s weird how long Juulsen’s rope has been in comparison though.

Friedman should not be sitting. He has been playing decent as the #6 defenseman. Pays his dues every night taking a beating, he is a warrior.

Expecting Pettersson to break his slump tonight.

Go Canucks
