No one posted what potential lines could be during practice. I would assume that Sasson over Lekk means that Suter moves back to the wing, but then who centers that line?

or does Raty move over to wing?

or is Sasson going to play wing in his debut?

Best guess:
Debrusk - Petey - Sherwood
Joshua - Blueger - Garland
Suter - Raty - Heinen
Bains - Sasson - Hoglander

Great story. I thought somehow that Sasson had already had a cup of coffee with the big club, but, obviously, no.

I hope he gets to centre the fourth line. It's where he's most likely to find a permanent spot, I guess, and also where he's most likely to show well immediately, and at 24 he's not likely to get many more shots.

I always liked Sasson's game in Abby......creates a lot of speed through the neutral zone, and one of the hardest working guys on the team.

Not bad for an undrafted player out of the NCAA and Western Michigan. Even getting games in the NHL is a bonus.

Boeser
  • Skated in a non-contact jersey
  • Will see how he is tomorrow; day-to-day
  • Will not play against the Senators
Demko
  • Getting closer; strung some really good practices together
  • Doesn’t know what game he’ll play
  • Played in most of the net today
  • Needs more practice time
Sasson
  • Has trended as a really good prospect
  • Hard working guy
Upcoming Game
  • When worrying about results, you get in trouble
  • Have liked their 5-on-5 play last couple of games
  • Other teams are making a key plays while the Canucks aren’t
  • Cavalry is coming back; mentions Miller, Demko, and Boeser
  • Good for the young guys to play important minutes
Brannstrom
  • Has got better every game
  • Made something out of the opportunity he got

It's been noted that Brannstrom has played sheltered minutes. Unshelter him, I say, at least for a few games. Management obviously thought at first that he wasn't even an NHL player. They were wrong. The should find out if they're wrong about him only being a bottom pairing guy.

It seems perverse not to give him that opportunity at this point, what with the way the rest of the bottom four has performed.

Yeah I'd go :

Hughes-Myers (much as I don't love this)
Brannstrom-Hronek
Desharnais/Juulsen-Soucy

And see what happens.
