Completely warranted penalty, sure maybe inconsistently applied but thats the nhl. Sat amd imac sound like idiots if you watch the play even 3 seconds earlier hog is pissed at labanc coming in high ish and slew foots him down.

I wouldn't be at all shocked with a one game suspension, and yes Marchand should have 20x more than he does. F him.

You can literally see more dangerous plays than that in Basketball not getting called for fouls. Is this the NHL people actually want to watch?

I was trying to search how many slew foot suspensions Brad Marchand has in his career. I didn't find the answer, but did come across the 3 games he got for slew footing OEL.

Also saw Kevin Labanc has a 1 game suspension for slew footing.
Maybe Hoglander just beat him to the slew foot?!

The issue is the consistency.

I don’t theoretically have a problem with the call but we’ve seen far worse than this to our players over the past few years and it wasn’t called like this.

One of many issues the nhl seemingly refuses to address.

The miller hit into the net should also have been a penalty and I would've liked a way harsher response on the ice too tbh, i was waiting for something to happen immediately and crickets.

He had a long tenure holding Cherry's leash and averting his eyes/ears, but now he can run the show and demonstrate how cool his poetry and music taste is in the blandest Canadiana fashion.

Not letting the reins go to someone like Amber or Bieksa is most of the reason why the HNIC is so lame now compared to say TNT.

I don't care about basketball. Hog intentionally takes him down in a moment of anger , probably not intending to slew and injure, but thats what happened.

Edit. They just played the whole replay with initial contact from labanc, rewind it as many times as you require to see reality.
