Desharnais has always looked better with a puck mover alongside. Again, not sure what Tocchet was doing with some of the personnel alignments over the first few games, but at least he figured it out. Trying Forbort-Desharnais as a pair, tossing Bains onto the top-line, and putting DeBrusk on the third line for some reason were just dumb decisions.

How the heck did so many other teams pass on Lankinen? There were quite a few teams who needed a goalie and we pick this guy up for peanuts at the end of the summer. Just shocking no one else made a move earlier.

I'm speculating the new goalie coach was a reason why Canucks didn't pass on Lankinen.
