but with better hands! its been incredibly relieving to see him break out...after last season I wasnt very impressed like many others here and my doubts were starting to grow.
I gotta say, Im really digging the Kings new offensive structure/breakout. I know its a small sample size and all, but theyre generating a TON of chances and the quality of those chances are much higher compared to the last few seasons. Stevens and Blake werent lying when they said there was going to be a heavy focus on establishing a net-front presence.

Some have a short memory.

Last season, in his first 10-12 games Kempe was showing things most Kings players werent capable of. I remember two beautiful assists. His final 10-12 games werent impressive though.

he had two goals and four assists through 25ish games, which is entirely forgettable, especially when you consider the lack of physicality on his part. this season he's done a complete 180 in both of those areas, specifically when it comes to hitting and forechecking. he's a menace!

I am sure you have better things to do, but just read the GDT's of Kempe's first few games of last season.

I have never denied that he looks much better now but people easily forget but I guess thats how things work..
 
To be honest, everyone was ass last year. That's why Sutter and DL are gone. So I'm not gonna pin it on some rookie when the vets themselves were trash. Everyone except Pearson and Carter were good last season. Hence I can easily over look the fact that a rookie didn't do good last year.

I think it's a bit dishonest. If like 70% of the team was good last year and Kempe was the only bad one youd have a point.


But about 90% of the team was ass last year. Hence the firings.

youre probably right, and my memory is pretty bad. I think its still a little early to get too excited about him but its obvious his game has improved dramatically

I dunno what to say, glad you provide content (who am I to talk, I rarely post anymore) but sometimes you are posting a lot of useless filler. Your posts on actual players/plays/teams etc are fine, but you have a lot of 'bro/funny/weird on purpose' type posts that can be irritating at times and fill up the boards with a lot of nonsense

I can’t be as golden as some of our best. I follow three teams, from three different sports, diehard, and the Kings are one of them.

I know there’s many more here with a wider, and much more vast knowledge than myself. I always give them credit.

I’m just fanatical for our Kings.

And yeah, I do watch our product. And I do get it right occasionally. I’ve been watching our team since 1997. The only time I wasn’t watching us was when I was overseas.

So bravo. I guess.

I don't disagree, but that was exactly the criticism of Kempe almost verbatim. Looks like a world beater some nights, then completely disappears and just looks like a fast dude doing nothing.

So far, he's been incredibly emotionally engaged, which seems to keep him sparked, and I love it and I'm glad to thus far be completely wrong. He's fun as hell to cheer for.
