Who was the Kings MVP this season?

Tough game to watch because I think most of us were probably hoping for a loss because of playoff seeding.

Happy for Brown though. Don't think I've ever seen a King more wronged by coaches/management, happy to see Dustin getting the last laugh.

You know, I think it’s a good thing Brownie couldn’t be moved this past off-season (for reasons beyond his play obviously). It seems like we basically stabbed the guy in the back and there was a lot of damage done. But now it seems he’s happy again and a lot of the players are being free from Sutter and maybe Lombardi as well.

I think in the present we would’ve been okay with it for cap relief; but 10-15 years from now our fan base would be disappointed with how we treated the captain of our 2 cup winning teams. By ripping the C off his chest and sending him out of town with most of the fans willing to drive and pack for him.

Obviously his season now makes it easier to say this, but yeah. I’m happy for Brownie.

never seen him take a shot like that in my life.

this dude must've met a man at the crossroads or something..
He nailed Brodin which made him cuff up the puck, then he positioned himself into scoring position and hammer a one timer. If anyone told me that was Brown, I would call them crazy. I thought the guy was done. This bodes well going forward

i think he's always been engaged offensively in games where he's also hitting, and he's been a wrecking ball all season..

you're not the only one.

If that guy in the white and black striped shirt plays like that in the playoffs we got a shot at taking the first round.

It's gotta be the coaching change, he's playing 4 minutes a game more and instead of playing on the 3rd line, he's playing mostly with Kopitar.
He played mostly with Kopitar last year. He's just trying this year. He was tanking last season cause he was miserable.

So did we.

I'll defer to you on that, I saw as few games as i've seen in my ~19 years last year, I was just basing it off the TOI and the few games I did see.
It wasn't a ton but I believe 5 on 5, Kopitar was the guy he played with most.

Remember when last year the players were the sole reason to blame for the poor offensive performance?

Career highs for Kopitar, Doughty, and Brown.

I really hope the playoff system changes. I just hate how when you finish 2nd or 3rd, you are forced to stay in your division in the first round. I miss the randomness of matchups in the old system.

Heh, this kid needs to work on his interview skills

Needs to work on his cliches, "pucks to the net, bodies in front, 60 minutes, don't take penalties" etc. But in all seriousness I thought he seemed like an awesome guy. Seemed like a guy who just played his first NHL game.

Sharks, Ducks, Vegas , or Nashville ? Who do you guys want most ?
Sharks. They are slumping and Kings play best vs them. But Quick has been so inconsistent I think any of those teams are bad news. Kings always need 1 player to carry.

I'd love to know what happened between Sutter and Brown. It was fine through 2013. Brown never played better as a pro than under Sutter in the spring of 2012. How did 4 years go missing?

Anyway, everything has to get better next week. Whoever they play. It doesn't matter. There's no "easier" match up with the Kings. Far too inconsistent for that to be the case. They'll need more from Quick. Need more from the whole team in the D-zone. We'll see what happens.

hell i was ready to blame em during the season

this season was basically the opportunity for them to prove that they weren't the problem, that coaching was. clearly they've proven a lot
