Watching the Ducks and Sharks slaughter each other in a long series would be fun. And I don't believe they've ever met in the playoffs before.

The Sharks got upset by the Ducks in the 1st round of the playoffs in 2008-09. It was fun to watch the Sharks come up short in the playoff yet again. This time they were the number 1 seed losing to the 8th seed.

The Sharks have had so may playoff failures it's hard to remember them all.

You're right, I recall when they were supposed to go deep in the 2007 playoffs, and wound up losing to the Red Wings. Not sure who I'd rather see the Kings face in the post season though between the Sharks and Ducks, seeing how the Kings have had quite a few embarrassing losses at the hands of both teams over the years. Avenging and erasing the memories of that pathetic showing in the 2016 playoffs would be satisfying.

They met in the opening round in 2009, Anaheim knocked them out as a #8 seed. Vague memories of Jonas Hiller (.957 sv%) outplaying Nabokov (.890).

Rinne and Quick are both so bad against the other team it would probably be a crazy series.

We already saw MacD and Fantenburg play. We know what they bring to the table. If we clinch and have nothing to lose, the coaching staff should see how Brickley does in his first NHL game. If he really stands out, who knows. He might be an option if we see more injuries in the playoffs.

There's terrible ass Quick, hanging around in the top-5 of goalies with 40+ GP starts, and has an argument to be a Vezina finalist, given #1-2 have missed time.

When you overlook literally everything else to talk about how Quick is bad against them, which is consistent with your M.O., yeah, it's the usual "take a shot at Quick" thing.

yet we've beaten them plenty of times...because Rinne was equally terrible. Somehow you forget that too, or any other fact about the team, to go beat up your favorite pinata (that you're horribly wrong about but continue to double down upon). That's all I'm saying.

But I guess at least you found an accurate point of criticism for once, that's a step forward. Quick is .929 since the start of February.
