Because it happens every single game, you go to both messageboards and each side is convinced the refs are out to get them. Here is a game where the refs basically said "hey, we're not going to be a factor, have at it" and they still get ripped.
in my book, not calling penalties is just as bad as calling non-penalties

we have rules for a reason, teams need to have expectations of what's allowed and what isn't going into every single game, it shouldn't change night to night

i don't think it was biased one way or another, i just don't think it's right

well, when kesler headlocked Brown then held him right in front of the ref in ot i think we can ***** .

Yes and Ahlers called it a "nice cancel out behind the net", it was obviously a penalty, but so was Phaneuf taking down JT Brown in the 3rd.

Ahlers and Heyward criticize every missed call against the Ducks and are silent when the shoe is on the other foot.

So you think not calling anything doesn't have just as much as an affect as them calling to many? And no, refs are not blamed every game in this forum.

Not calling the game by the rules makes them a factor, whether you want to admit it or not. When the authority arbitrarily decides when and where to enforce rules, it’s not going to end well.

The most important thing is consistency, which they showed tonight. And as long as their consistent, I'd rather they let them play than call every single thing.

It was like the Winnipeg game. They just didn't have anything in the tank. When you don't got it, you don't got it. Relieve pressure, and try and sneak a goal in there. Better then a regulation loss at least.

Rest up and destroy the Avs on Monday. I wish Stevens sat out Kempe like 15 games ago, he just looks lost.

Yeah that shift towards the end there summed up Kempe and Pearson's play the past few weeks.

Pearson had basically a guaranteed playoff spot on his stick between the circles...

I know some of our boys aren't exactly oil paintings but jesus the Ducks have some ugly looking mother f***ers on their roster. Almost feel sorry for them, perhaps thats why we let them win. :dunno:

Im ok with letting stuff go but when Kesler does this right in front of the ref, preventing Brown from getting to the puck, it's f***ing bs! Total headlock. And watch the opening faceoff in OT, Kesler accidently hauls Kopitar down after he wins it.

Agreed. Taking 3 out here is quite rare, it's going to be even harder since all three are in playoff mode.
Put another way if Kings win 1of 3, Avs would need to win 3 of last 4. Avs play 4 playoff teams last 4 all on the road. Kings play 2.

I havent looked at the schedule, but do they have any against the ducks or sharks at the very end? You can bet the ducks or sharks would fold a game if they have already secured, if it means getting us out if the race.

Ducks on Sunday vs Avs don't think Ducks will throw the game. Avs finish year with Blues. 1 more thing Kings last 3 games are against teams playing their 2nd game on a back to back. Ducks play them night before, every game. If Kings blow this it would be a big choke job
