GDT: GM#73 LA Kings vs San Jose Sharks @7:30pm 3/21/19

There was a point when the kings actually looked like a hockey team that wanted to win. 20 -8 in shots at one time , all over the Sharks, now it 29-21 and just playing the game out for another loss.

So, I want to hop on this confusion about ice time. MacDermid has the best CF% of all Kings blue liners this season at 55.38%, his CF Rel is an impressive 8.44%. I totally get that it is a small sample size and that is likely why it is so high, but isn't that a good reason to see if he can maintain it? What is the downside to giving the guy more ice time?

Expect the 4th line to get double shifted soon, only to get scored on in the final 2 min because they were out there too long.

I'm sure Jones will be fine considering they have 94 points and the only thing that the Kings are accomplishing is degrading their chances to get a better % at the overall pick. SJ has some bragging rights as of today.

You can't lose them all and I have no problem with them beating the Sharks or Ducks any chance they get.

At this point of the season, I would rather they just lose them all and see what shakes out on April 9th. That will be the only positive thing to come out of this season if they can somehow come away with a future top player.

1) the Kings won't play worse than Ottawa
2) what if the Kings move up in the standings and wind up winning the lottery because of the numbers they get in their standings position?

Ottawa is playing better actually and has an easier schedule most likely. They probably won't catch them though. You are right there.
