No one likes to admit that reason why quick is nearly 50% on wins is because he blows in the first period this season. Kings are out playing and we're down 2 goals because our goalie sucks dick in the first.

The Devils scored on two great plays/ opportunities, Its almost like they are content to play rope a dope then feed off the scraps. I don't pin either goal on Quick.

Yet they give doughty ice time when he does jack ****..doughty always slows down the PP instead of moving it fast.

Doughty needs to get his almost 30 minutes per game, every game for some reason. There are games when he is perfectly fine on the power play, but when he is off, it usually lasts the entire game. He obviously isn't on today, so yes get him off the power play today, and get LaDue out there.

Nah, it's still on quick. He's the reason they can't score on 4 pp including a 5 on 3. He's terrible.

God forbid the guy who got a ten year contract make big saves. I remember a team constantly getting dominated under Terry Murray and Quick being great to keep them in the games.


This is just an average goal tender now. And the fact he can't be good consistently proves that. Especially in the first period he has no focus

Great Wall is an apt comparison. He just stands there and the Kings hit him with the puck 20 times. Kincaid did what you roast Quick for endlessly, whiffed like a tool on the pokecheck on Pearson. Difference is, Pearson didn’t walk around him and roof it, he shot it right into his pads like a jackass.

I completely agree. But at what point do you expect your goalie to come up big? If he's as good as people like to say he is, then why can't we get consistently good performances from him? I think the defense bails out the goalie and the goalie bails out the defense. It is to be mutual, but it seems that now every time the defense fails its in our net. He was never like this.

You seem to have a short memory, he's kept the kings in many games this year. The team has played like hot garbage, worse than even the Murray days.

Today quick is not the reason they are losing period, so don't know what else you are expecting.

Quick's job is to stop the puck, and NJ's tender is clearly doing a better job. Quick deserves the criticism.

i don't think that 2nd goal was stoppable

whereas LA shot 19 times straight on Kinkaid

but Quick did go down too soon on the first goal, if Pearson had some Grabner skill he would have waited a millisecond longer and scored that goal and the game would have been 1-1

so to me, it comes back to not enough raw skill on this team, just some grind as always
