Best thing about that period is we escaped with it tied 0-0. Unless we come out looking like a completely different team in the second, I don’t see that holding for long. Hopefully they right the ship, here.

I didn't realize that this Blues team has so many veteran players. This is usually the time of the season when the vets get their second wind--and it showed in that period.

I just can't see how this Canucks team can win with the collection of forward they have. They generate little speed through the neutral zone; spend next to no time in the O-zone, and are being rag-dolled along the wall.

Lankinin is going to have to steal this one somehow.

I think you mean boring defensive minded coaching, weak offensive depth, and a lack of speed throughout the lineup.

Like we’ve seen for over a year now. A game like the last against the Jets is the outlier.

Seems that last game the team generated a bit off the rush, and this game so far they resorted to dumping it in even with possession...and then easily losing the chase part to the heavier and faster Blues.

Chytil and DOC helped the team speed slightly, but it's still quite bad compared to other teams. They also have an excellent D core now, capable of breaking the puck out of the zone accurately, so they can't use that as an excuse for their poor play through the middle of the ice anymore.

Uncharacteristically sloppy in the D-zone, lots of missed assignments and soft checks. Hronek particularly with an absolutely brutal period.

Blues look like what we thought the Jets would look like lol.
