doubt it, but i'd certainly hope him and foxy get a stern talking-to about professionalism when the season's over

They have both been unbearable.. Bob seemed to even it out. Now they’re just annoying. I can deal with Fox.. but, I can’t deal with two of them.

yeah fox has turned up another notch without bob's influence keeping him in check

really getting tired of the name puns and forced jokes about the jinxes and whatever. like it's your first year, kid. don't go mocking your team's fanbase.. the videos i saw of him calling college games were really nice cause he just called the game and allowed there to be some silence. he's been adding way too much color commentary on his own lately

see that's f***in bullshit then, because like what stevens and brownie were saying, if the puck's under a pad and you push it across, you understand. that puck was loose in the crease the entire time. they're not saying that it was the stickin talbot's groin before he pushed the puck in, they're specifying that he pushed the puck and pad in, which is the final event before it crossed the line. that, imo, should never be called interference.

I told him on Twitter that I miss Bob Miller.

So is Brown supposed to let the puck sit on Talbot's pad and watch the clock go to 0:00? Don't try and score a goal, refs might think you pushed the goalie's pad in. Good stuff.

Any chance Faust gets let go this season?

I really wish they would. Ive been harping about him for a few weeks now. He is too opinionated for play by play guy. He needs to leave his opinions out of the calls. For example tonight in the first he was so animated that Brown was taken out in front of the net, with his voice sound astonished there was no penalty. During the replay Fox disagreed with him that there should not have been a penalty as brown was off balance yada yada yada. Point is he needs to stop playing referee and just call the damn game. all the puns and back and forth DURING the game is not professional either and infuriating.

I'd rather listen to the ducks broadcast at this point.

Khaira has now beat the shit out of Folin and embarrassed him when actually playing hockey. Pathetic.

f*** this team. Thank God I didn't go tonight. That 1st period power play sums up how this team plays at home. Knew they would lose after that lazy bullshit.

Same garbage since '15. They seem to think their talent will just pull it out eventually but they don't seem to realize that they aren't talented enough.

What an embarrassing performance. Absolutely disgusting.

You guys down for Pearson and Toffoli for Pacoriertty and Gallagher?

I’m getting fed up with the passive passengers on this team. Too many god damn underachievers playing half assed hockey.

Was just thinking this, this morning, it’s time to shake the core and move one or two out because this core has become to complacent.

That came after Muzzin's awful dump-in attempt, and Amadio's somewhat not great back check attempt. Then Quick got beat high glove from the slot again at the end.

They had a swagger when MacDermid was up. Just saying...

If I were Stevens I would be really quick with demoting or benching guys in the first or second periods the next couple of games. Way to much sleepwalking in the first 40 minutes of these games. Brown said it best in the postgame interviews "They have to play with urgency for 60 minutes, not 15 minutes"[/QUOTE]

Pretty hollow comment given they've played that same lazy no show for the first 50 minutes game for 4 years now. And that comment is getting stale.

The Kings AND the Oilers have had issues with the challenge all year. So it's not at all surprising that they BOTH found a way to lose this challenge on the same play

Oilers fan, hope its OK to still chime in here after, you guys were great pregame in the talk and again I like the KINGS but this post was lol funny. Yeah, nailed it.

Anyway like I said earlier the Oilers were going to bring it in this one because they've been rounding into spoiler form and McD and Drai have been lights out lately. Trouble for the Kings in this game was getting behind and getting caught on counters several times. The game against Dallas, where you don't score the whole game, at home, it starts getting in players heads where they lack the confidence to let the game come. Instead LA trying to force things and then being exposed on the counter goals.

I hate to say this, and mean well with this but it is a compliment to the Kings game and brand that the Oilers are trying to do something similar and playing it like that. Both teams really like to hit, the few times the Oilers play well their gap coverage and puck support is good, and when the Oilers play well they do some of the same things as the Kings.

Anyway I think when Carter gets settled in he gives you that important goal you really need and the Kings should be fine. 20 games left, he wasn't going to be magic in the first one back but he showed enough that he's there. He really popped an Oiler in the first period, just hammering hit that showed me he's ready to go. Then he got hammered by Nurse and so welcome back to NHL. Carter got two looks in the third that he's more likely to finish if he's in form. The good news is Toffoli got a goal. As bad as he's looked he's a streak scorer as you all know.

Last comment, and this might not get as much focus but the Kings really miss the steady contribution of Trevor Lewis. Theres some guys on the bench, and on the ice that just help the team in all ways. Lewis has often been that for the Kings. Every good team needs some guys like him.

Good luck and really cheering for Kings to make the playoffs.

Unfortunately the Kings have a bottom five broadcasting duo. Tough for us longtime fans who never knew anything other than top 5.

Even with the mistakes on players that we saw from Bob towards the end he was still able to control the broadcast and keep Jim in check. He was one of the best in the business all the way until the end.

Other than Heyward I think Fox may spend more of the broadcast talking than any other analyst in the league, and that’s not a good thing.

A day later I'm still pissed at that call. You can no long make contact with the puck and the pad at the same time to try and score I guess.
