If I were Stevens I would be really quick with demoting or benching guys in the first or second periods the next couple of games. Way to much sleepwalking in the first 40 minutes of these games. Brown said it best in the postgame interviews "They have to play with urgency for 60 minutes, not 15 minutes"

Especially now that roster options exist. Pretty much anyone has a bad game from an effort/focus standpoint and they can kick rocks for a game or two.

Watch Stevens end up sitting Thompson and Clifford next game. Probably our two best players tonight.

What did he say? I had to shut off the tv, lol.

Gonna drink all the beer and go on a gaming binge.
Ive already had a few so i may be a bit off, but along the lines of " they are confused ( situation room) so how are we supised to know whats going on. "

Because.....why? So you can say 'told you so'. ****ty game, everyone should be pissed, but now we hope to lose more to end the season quicker? Wtf is the point of being a fan to hope they lose..

Because sometimes the benefit of losing outweighs the benefit of winning a few meaningless games, especially when it's becoming abundantly clear that they won't be able to string together the wins to get in.

You know what guys. Watching post game I think the right call was made, even Jim Fox is admitting it so you know it probably was. But the process needs to change!

In the 2014 playoffs vs. SJ Game 6, Williams had a similar play vs. Stalock late in the 3rd of tied game. I thought that one was way more blatant and it was allowed. Not sure if the rules have changed.
That’s what I was saying. They need to establish what goaltender interference actually is. It’s like the NFL catch rule. That play has been a good goal many times before.

And I don't disagree. Sometimes losing is necessary to bring about change. But in this case, missing the playoffs isn't going to bring sweeping changes. So 'hoping' for a team you root for to lose, which half this board seems to want lately, just seems totally counterproductive to rooting for sports teams, of which we have no control over.

I hope that final push doesn't make the players and coach's overlook 50 minutes of garbage hockey

Well, if people are confused on the goalie interference rule because of it's inconsistency, the Kings may or may not overlook 50 minutes of garbage hockey, nobody can know. They might come out with a purpose in the next game, or they could just as easily play 50 minutes of garbage hockey again. Maybe they play like they did in Chicago and Winnipeg, or they play the way they did against Carolina and Edmonton. There is no way of knowing which team will show up Monday. Although, for the most part, they have consistently been trash at home against Pacific teams this year.

Pearson with 10 points since the New Year, it's time to ship this guy out of town. 7.3 shooting percentage, 1 PP goal all season long eating up over 16 minutes a game. Where is the accountability for Tanner? -2 tonight with no shots on goal, it's time, send him somewhere cold.

but if screens got assists, he'd probably be on top of the list

Yeah, but players can go after a puck if its loose in the crease and under the pad all the time. There's always contact and some movement. Slomo makes it look like he really push hard, yet the realtime makes it look like a normal free in the crease goal. They're going to call 100 goals back if they call it the closely and not allow contact.

I thought the same thing. The slo mo is deceiving. In realtime it's shot-rebound-shot.

It has to happen, right? Brett Hull foot in the crease all over again

You guys down for Pearson and Toffoli for Pacoriertty and Gallagher?

I’m getting fed up with the passive passengers on this team. Too many god damn underachievers playing half assed hockey.
