Without Monster games from Kopitar/Quick/Doughty this roster is going to struggle to win consistently.

Remember also the Kings have injected a lot of youth this season as well.

I agree, they played poorly enough that I don't care about the review. Yet another loss at home to a division team. Where's the stick breaking anger over the net, yet again, earlier in the game? Where is the push, earlier in the game?

Came here to post this also. By Tuesday we will be way outside the playoff race. No way we are beating the possessed Vegas team. 2015 all over again. Can’t beat a bad Edmonton team to squeeze into the playoffs. Seriously what the hell is wrong with this team. The roster on paper is fine. The team is just dead and with no drive.

I used to relate to this crap they pull when I was in university, phoning it in till the eleventh hour and then giving it everything you have. It was charming back then. I grew up, and now this nonsense the Kings do is beyond old. Execute and deliver on a consistent basis.

Using my days off to go on a trip to Nashville, hidden perk is no watching hockey for a few days. Happy for an excuse to skip this slop for a bit. By then they should have sunk out of the playoff hunt.

I haven’t seen the replay. I’ll take a look. It just doesn’t make sense why they would call it a goal and then over turn it. Wouldn’t they take a look at the whole situation? Idiots.
 
You know what guys. Watching post game I think the right call was made, even Jim Fox is admitting it so you know it probably was. But the process needs to change!

In the 2014 playoffs vs. SJ Game 6, Williams had a similar play vs. Stalock late in the 3rd of tied game. I thought that one was way more blatant and it was allowed. Not sure if the rules have changed.

They struggle to win consistently at home against western, and specifically Pacific, teams. Not on the road. Not against all teams.
 
It looked like brown hit the puck with the first swipe anyway. Shouldnt gave been called a goal to start with if it was going to be challenged off.

Honestly, it kinda makes sense. I mean they reviewed the first to see if it crossed the line. They deemed it did. Then a coaches challenge comes up for interference. They look at that and deemed it was.

Really sucks for us, and I've never seen that before (didn't see the previous Oilers game). I think the first review should have taken into account interference and just call it a no goal with the explanation that it crossed the line but there was interference.
 
The right call was made as far as goalie interference seems to be called, but its a total clusterf*** to have back-to-back reviews. Whatever the X percent of fans at the game who aren't diehard hockey fans to know all the rules..see an amazing comeback with 2 late goals, see a review...confirms its a goal, awesome...then wait another review...and now its not a goal anymore. Ok.
 
Funny how Clifford has his best game in weeks. This is what happens when jobs are on the line, guys in the bottom six know one of them is done when Lewis returns. Clifford was definitely one of those guys who was on the bubble, and he still us. But he definitely bought himself atleast a couple of games in the lineup.
 
The Kings deserved to lose the game based off their play and I'd say the interference is in a grey area where i guess the tie should go to the runner. Those are two separate issues though. I'm not up on the technicalities of how these reviews work but to have called a goal after review and then disallowed is a flawed system. I'm not a conspiracy theorist by any means but the review and challenge system has been wildly inconsistent this year for the Kings this year. Does anyone know how many times the Kings have been the benefactor of a challenge either for or against this year? I feel like they haven't won a challenge or had a challenge denied by the opposition this year.

The Kings AND the Oilers have had issues with the challenge all year. So it's not at all surprising that they BOTH found a way to lose this challenge on the same play :laugh:

Because.....why? So you can say 'told you so'. Shitty game, everyone should be pissed, but now we hope to lose more to end the season quicker? Wtf is the point of being a fan to hope they lose..
