Kings have lost 6 in a row, hottest team in the league

The thing is, every game was winnable . A better team, or whatever and we probably win 5 out of the 6. Tonight, like the Caps game was there to win. PP/PK let them down once again. It hard to believe the Preds pp is worse than ours, yet that was the difference tonight.

And it wouldn’t be a game where Lewis has a grade A chance and misses...Twice!

Yeah, they're still in shock that all we actually got for Pearson was a 3rd and a 6th. For a guy with only 15 points and is a -15, he should've been worth much more in their eyes.

I think we could have gotten more for Hagelin had he not gotten hurt, but man, we came out ahead in the Pearson-Hagelin trade.

This may have been the shortest GDT in years. Only 4 pages so far.

It's a bunch of overpaid veterans who aren't into this season, and the rest of the roster are marginal prospects with upsides that aren't all that high. There are only so many times you can watch and comment on Kopitar hanging his head in shame. It's not fun for them, it's not fun for us. At least the players get paid a lot to show up. Fans get nothing out of this marriage. We're just waiting for trades and lottery results.

Not sure who was worse in a Kings uni during that time... Roenick or Carter? As I recall the Sedin brothers made Carter look good in Vancouver...

IIRC Carter told the Kings he needed surgery before they made the trade. The Kings have always balked at players being injured or coming off major surgery and it's bitten them in the butt every single time. Players do not come here and bounce back from anything. This is usually the last stop on the NHL train ride. That needs to change more than anything. The Kings need to hire trainers and conditioning staff that set the precedent for the rest of the league.

How many games did Willie Mitchell and Justin Williams miss on the Kings, given their injury history?

My girlfriend had never seen Columbo before. When I told her how much I loved it as a kid, she bought the entire series and watched it with me.

Peter Falk was great
I know hardly any of you will remember this one, but I saw the old 12 o'clock High series on Youtube so I started watching it. My Dad loved that show and never missed it, and I have faint memories of watching it with him when I was a kid. It's actually pretty good, and man back in those days there were a lot of shows in one season.

That could be a bit misleading though. In hockey, teams don't usually get blown out every night. A lot of games are just a few plays from going one way or another. The difference between a good team and a bad team a lot of times is that good teams find ways to win and overcome poor nights and bad teams usually lose those types of games. In baseball, the difference a lot of times between playoff teams and non playoff teams is how they perform in one-run games and their record after the 7th inning.
