Wtf are you talking about Herby?? We’ve drafted a handful of guys who have looked pretty good the unfortunate thing is a few where traded...
Erik Cernak is ready a top 4
Colin Miller is a nice Offensive Dman
Roland McKeown would be a starter if not for Carolina being absolutely loaded at D....
3 guys that’ll likely be starting in this team! Add in Clague, Anderson, Phillips, Roy, Hults and LaDue... I’d say we’ve made some bad trades more than bad drafting...
as for an impact guy, well I’ll say this and you can quote me if it doesn’t come to fruition... but Mikey Anderson is at least two notches ahead of where Amart, Forbort, Miller, Cernak and LaDue were at the same stage in their development.. I expect him to become our next stub Dman..

None of those guys are top 4 d-man with the possible exception of Miller. I don't like to comment on players I haven't seen much of, but I've seen Hults and Anderson. Both have a long long way to go to be top 4 d-man in the NHL. It's more likely they never make the league than make it as top 4 guys.

LaDue is 26 years old and in and out of the lineup.
McKeown is 23 and in the AHL
Roy is 24 and just getting taste of the NHL on a bottom feeder team.

This is just like the forwards when people celebrate because we have drafted so many NHL 4th liners. Defense are just like forwards. Give me one Charlie McAvoy over three LaDue's or Roy's.

You can be optimistic all you want, but the reality is the best d-man LA has drafted in the last decade is Colin Miller. We can split hairs on whether he is truly a top 4 or not, but if hes the best d-man you draft over a decade things probably are going to be as ugly as theyve been for the Kings the last 5 years.

ironically enough colin miller was just benched

i think cernak was definitely one we let go but he's not experienced either
 
You guys think this is Blake's tanking strategy? To ice two defensemen in top 4 roles that he knows are going to cost this team every time they step foot on the ice?

Feel bad for those of you intently watching the game as opposed to me who just has it on my phone in the background while spreading financials.

My actual job is less of a job than watching these games.
