Man that was a pathetic last 10 mins. No sustained zone pressure, only crappy C-grade chances.

Agree about Toffoli - dude looks like he has cement in his skates and like he's playing hungover every game. Is the flu bug messin' with some guys? Probably not - that's letting them off easy.

The way we're playing, we're practically icing two crappy 4th lines, and two abysmal 2nd lines

Players don't care what fans think. Second, a lot of the guys on this team contributed to those Cups. Why is anyone pissed at any of them? So they gave up on the play. So they suck every year. Big deal. They delivered what we wanted forever. What they do now doesn't matter.

You want to know why he was pissed at the other 4 bums on the ice...because of this:
Doughty make a save, then everyone just watches, never even attempts to get the puck , while outnumbering the Pens 5 to 3. Then he makes 2 more saves before they score. He had zero help!

Kopitar had a great view while cherry picking near the blueline. Going down low to help out, or to cover Malkin who was off to the side of the net never crossed his mind.

Exactly, anyone in his position getting OUT NUMBERED down low trying to make saves is gonna be livid.

Zero support last shift.


That last shift irks me greatly because it was so lazy and heartless

No I'm taking up the issue that Doughty doesn't act like a leader.He is a immature player and a selfish one.Has nothing to do with his talent.He needs to be a role model if he is accepting a letter ie a leadership position.You shouldn't starring down your own team.I played sports and I never once started pointing fingered or blamed a fellow teammate.

Public tantrums can also potentially be shortsighted. Is this going to rally the troops for the next game? Kopitar slammed his stick against the net in that must win game in Edmonton back in 14-15, and what's happened since then? Nothing. Including Doughty. Somehow he still cant manage to get his shot through from the point. You'd think he'd work on that. Crosby works on little things every year to get better. Doughty keeps shooting into shin pads. Work on that.

He's not the problem. His on ice tantrums aren't new though. Nor have they ever helped the team. Everyone has a little something, or a lot of something, that is part of the predicament the team finds itself in. Doughty is not immune to that, no matter how pissed he gets at his teammates for quitting on him. Again, save that for the lockerroom. Tear into your teammates in there, not on the ice. And get your damn point shot through.

Please explain what you expect a leader to do? Do you expect a it's OK for taking that shift off while I bust my balls, we'll try harder next game?

he wants dewey to prepare a powerpoint presentation with 5 bullet points on how they could have potentially tried a bit harder(but not too hard)

this isn't the business world. in football practice, you take liberties and someone's going through your head to make a point. i think a bunch of good hard canadian boys can take a little lip service

Isn't it leadership to hold yourself accountable and your teammates ?

I tend to think that leaders let people know they're f***ing up. Nothing comes from being passive.

How is a immature,whining and complaining alternate captain going on a Canadian radio show and throwing your teammates under the bus saying he only wants to be on a contender or he'll leave?Thats leadership?You think he learned his lesson right?Hell no,he goes back on another media site and repeats the same thing.He can't hold anyone accountable until he fixes his own behavior.He's a hypocrite and other than his talent he isn't a role model or leader.

Is anyone saying he shouldn't do that? Don't do that on the ice, that's all. Do it in the room. That special place that Brown has always talked about. The place where nobody but the team knows what goes on. The place where that group of players becomes a team.

You don't show up your teammates on the ice. You keep that in house.

And Doughty needs to get his damn shot through.
