Surprised Kempe wasn't out there for that.

Doughty was the worst of the d-men tonight getting pucks through. Even Forbert threw a tippable puck or two into the slot.

lightning were a complete sieve from the moment they took that lead

they need to thank their lucky f***ing stars they won this on vasi's back

What a ****ing game.

Sucks to not get a point. Sucks. Most encouraging out-and-out loss all year  entertaining game. But I've got no real complaints. Skaters brought it.

Slow start in the first, that'd be my only complaint.

Lightning just packed it in in the third, that was surprising. The Kings played well but their opponent seemed to have moved on already.

Heck of an effort by the Kings. Deserved better. Really wish Doughty was better offensively. Selfish play by Brown.

I hate to break it to you but Doughty is #6 in d-man scoring and the guys ahead of him get FAR easier deployment and minutes.

Starting to want to see him on another team so some folks here will understand what would be missing. Dude is Mr. Everything.

I only caught the last half of the game, but that was an enjoyable one. I was expecting us to get molested, but after that game i'm less scared of the bolts. Perhaps Lecavalier put in a good word for us, told them to go easy.

Yup.

No Carter, No Lewis, Brown with a major and ejection, on a back-to-back across the coast with our backup in vs. the best team in the league on a night memorializing arguably the best player in their history and we took it to them. I'm encouraged.

What matters most is what happens next though, have to build off that.

A game where we play great in every facet, except we take a few garbage penalties a lose. I'm sure Brown feels pretty crappy for costing his team points.

You get between 20 and 30 regulation losses and be at least semi comfortable for a playoff spot, toward the lower end.. The Kings now have 20.

They have 27 games left. Seriously? 27 games? Where did the season go? Anyway, 27 games, and maybe 10 regulation losses left.

So tight this year, I give them eight more losses at most.

what is this like a 96 point pace? my math may be off but it's hard to ask for much more especially given the circumstances

Clifford, Andy, Shore, are really stepping up..

Also sounds like Lewis could still return to the team on this road trip.

Now if Brown does not get a suspension, about as good of a night after a loss that Kings have had in like weeks
