Trading Toffoli is the type of move that Blake should be looking to make, not only to improve the team but to show that the country club that’s been running since June 2014 is closed.

I would only do it its for a 2nd line Center or a Top 2 Dmen around Toffolis' age for a Toffoli + type trade. Wingers are easier to trade for than those top Center or Dmen

Gaborik is still an enigma to me. Guy looks phenomenal in the world cup, gets injured, comes back, looks done. Gets hurt this year, debuts his season, scores at a near 60 point pace, gets hurt, comes back terrible. All over the map. I mean at this point you just have to hope he finds form at the right time because I doubt he's going anywhere but he's utterly worthless when he's off his game.

You couldn't get a bag of pucks for Gaborik. Too erratic and not a good contract. Buying him out would be less than ideal either. Their best bet is he hangs them up.

Or you send him to Ontario and hope that the idea of riding a bus for the rest of his career to podunk towns entices him to retire and move back to Europe where he'll still make millions in the KHL.

When Carter comes back you kinda have to pair him with Gaborik and Kempe to see if all 3 can get it going. Pearson and Toffoli could possibly benefit from playing with Amadio whom himself needs to play with more talent because he’s not developing nor benefitting from playing on Shore’s 4th line...

Yeah, but they don't do hearings and announce no punishments. They simply don't have hearing. I don't think it was knee on knee, but that may not matter.

Brown had a longer shift before he got kicked out than Gabby had the entire 3rd [1:09]. I just don't get his lack of motivation or compete level, it's just gone.

Outside of Burrows, looks like you have to go back to the 14-15 season to find a suspension for kneeing. One was for one game, and another was for two.

Phone calls can be anything from a fine up to 5 games
6 or more is in person, unless the player declines

He's had some growing pains, but he's been more on than he's been off generally.

Yeah, with all the possession and chances and grit this felt like a classic Sutter game.

This season might be a wash, and we might not even make playoffs, but it says a TON that our depleted line-up can still hang with the best team in the league.

No I LOVE LaDue's game, he's very on and incredibly poised with the puck 98% of the time which is what made that one all the funnier.

I've been impressed with Muzzin play, when paired with LaDue. I have not seen a lot of those Muffin moments.

I legitly think Muzzin needs a good skater/positioning as his partner because his defensive game is so aggressive; Muzzin will pinch more often than not, he will go after the puck carrier more often than not, and he will make aggressive defensive plays in generally. The person who can cover for him needs to be a good skater and sound positionally.

Honestly, Martinez is not good at covering Muzzin because he isn't that fantastic of a skater, and isn't that great recovering his position. He's also a more aggressive defenseman as well, so he finds himself out of position with Muzzin.

another thing to mention is that LaDue keeps Muzzin a little more honest, the greenlight to make high risk plays is a lot lower when you have to keep in mind you have a rookie on your side. This is even more important than it is with Doughty + plug, because Muzzin simply isn't as good as Doughty.
