Clifford, Andy, Shore, are really stepping up..

Also sounds like Lewis could still return to the team on this road trip.

Now if Brown does not get a suspension, about as good of a night after a loss that Kings have had in like weeks

He shouldn't for that. One guy moving away from a hit, the other trying to make the hit, skates, then shins, then knee make contact.

Even with the bottom six producing well we lose.

Top guys need to carry the team.

we scored 3 goals and dominated every facet of the game. The top guys were up against the top scorers in the league and won their matchup. Not sure what else you can ask except our goalie to stop a beach ball and their goalie to not channel prime hasek.

Edit: and FWIW the bottom six 'produced well' but if you're going to not blame the goaltending those guys that produced well were also responsible for two goals so they broke even, it was actually guys like Kopitar who were +1, so...

I know he got ejected and people will say it cost us the game, but i credit brown for giving us a bit of push back. Down 3-1 in a hostile barn, he's putting his hand up trying to make things happen and change momentum.

100% A leader trying to get the guys going with a big hit.

Especially after Sergachev was being a f***ing coward and a turd. Waiting fo rhte refs to come in before he threw haymakers. Then after his injury came right back and intentionally boarded Pearson. Garbage. Lot of hiders on that team.

If Andreoff keeps it up, he won't be so worthless. He's been doing well lately, but doing well for a few games does not a long term stay deserve.

Brown had a longer shift before he got kicked out than Gabby had the entire 3rd [1:09]. I just don't get his lack of motivation or compete level, it's just gone.

A lot of us around here have been watching Brown his entire career. Homer bias aside, I think we can say with a reasonable degree of confidence he's not a "dirty" player.

When you go for the hit as often as Brown does you're going to botch some of them.

That said, I don't have a problem with the penalty. Even if it's unintentional, it's still reckless. Player safety should be paramount. I'm in favor of harsh penalties to disincentivize unnecessary dangerous play.

while i can agree with the premise, you don't trade away your 2nd leading goal scorer in the midst of a playoff race just because he's slumping while missing his career-long center

you wanna make a statement about the country club? do something with gaborik even if it means waiving him. dude is an embarrassment, he's not just slumping any more

Trading Toffoli is the type of move that Blake should be looking to make, not only to improve the team but to show that the country club that’s been running since June 2014 is closed.

Why would Blake trade his 2nd leading goal scorer to make a point? I don't think Toffoli is coasting, and despite the rough patch he had with injuries he's got 65 goals in his last 200 games, that's close to a 27 per year average. Unless the return was ridiculous, it would only show the team that Blake can make dumb trades.

I don't think there's a country club atmosphere at all, the only player that fits that is Gaborik.

It's kind of a footnote because Quick was alert but I laughed my ass off when LaDue set up the Lightning player for a perfect onetimer in the high slot.
