Yeah he was very good. Set up the Canucks' two best chances, and probably should have drawn at least one penalty, also made some great defensive plays.

Canucks were absolutely dominant in the latter half of the game, but lose in OT again. Very impressive for not having Hughes in the lineup. If Chytil can continue to play like this they are a stronger team after the trades. Defense is much better with M. Pettersson and Chytil was better than Miller has been lately at 5 on 5. IMO OT is just a coin-toss and they have lost way more than their fare share. That, the suspicious lack of powerplay time on home ice (not just in this game, they rank 24th this season on PP minutes on home ice) and injuries are the only thing keeping them out of a playoff spot. Their home record looks way worse than they have deserved because they have 7 OT losses to go with a league worst save percentage and PDO on home ice.

Unfortunately he shoots left and they aren't about to put any of Hughes/MPettersson/Forbort on their off side.

It certainly looks like he'll slide into the 3LD spot next year when Forbort walks, though.

Impressed with the new guys, hopefully it isn't just mostly adrenaline and they can carry forward here. Young defenseman Pettersson is the real deal, shouldn't come out of the line-up. Waive Juulsen. Old Pettersson defenseman impressed me, hopefully he's signed soon.

Tocchet has to be happy with how they played that game.

It's kind of maddening that Tocchet hasn't put Pettersson back with Sherwood. The handful of games they played together is arguably the best either player has looked all season.

Petey looks good when he's playing with puck hounds like Sherwood or Hoglander. DeBrusk needs to ride the 4th line for a bit.

Where was DeBrusk?? 1 goal in his last 13 games now. It's a mystery to me why he's still playing with Pettersson when neither player is getting anything done.

Like I said in the GDT, healthy Hughes and this game isn’t close. A couple of tweaks to the forward lines, play anyone over Juulsen, and I’m confident this is a good team.

Still need another offensive offensive forward or two.

You cannot trade Pettersson at this point. He still has a proven track record that right now outweighs this bad stretch that he is on. You wait and see if he gets back to his 100 point Selke form. Players like that are rare.

They paid him the money to be Pete’s winger. He’s come as advertised: inconsistent, with no real ability to drive play himself, reliant on better players to create chances for him, 40-50pt player.

The real problem is the Canucks have no talent up front, the roster is predicated on Miller/Pete being the offensive engines there.

I dont even care about points though they would be nice. He needs to have the puck on a string and be confident and should always be 2nd on the team in possession (no one is touching Hughes)
