Pettersson's effort level is a huge concern. He had a couple of terrible efforts on loose pucks in the 3rd. Way too casual.

Some really good signs from this game.

We looked more like our identity of big, fast, and hard on the forecheck from last year.

We also had quicker puck movement from non-Hughes D.

Our offense will improve with these moves. D who can break forechecks and move the puck quickly are huuuuge impacts.

Chytil looks assertive, confident, fast, skilled.

O'Connor and Sherwood will be a problem for opposing D on the forecheck.

M. Pettersson is so solid. I predict he plays with Myers and calms his game down long-term and Hronek stays with Hughes.

D- Petey looks like an NHLer. Grown leaps and bounds since pre-season when he looked a bit overwhelmed.

We outplayed them by quite a margin most of the game.

Our O.T. record is a curse. Luckily 3-on-3 won't happen in the playoffs assuming we get there.

They controlled play for the majority of the game. Sometimes you lose games you deserved to win, especially when the refs miss about 3-4 blatant calls. They played a great game without Hughes so its odd that this is your takeaway.

When nobody can score we need Pettersson to pick a corner and win us a game.

While I'm not thrilled with Pettersson right now, this is getting overlooked. He setup two gifts and Boeser choked on both.

You could swap Hoglander and DeBrusk, but I'd go for this first just to see if Chytil's speed could help Boeser

Shouldn't get too down on this one. All the advance stats favour the Canucks by a lot. High danger chances were scored 14-2 in favour of Vancouver.

Not sure if D Petey has moved up the depth chart, but he played 16 minutes vs Juulson 11 minutes.

Even if the Canucks don't make the playoffs, he has a good chance to win the Norris if he takes those two weeks off to rest.

So even from a personal standpoint, resting is better for him.
