The big thing last night, for me, was Forbort fighting Maroon after the hit on Doughty, something he could have done to Tkachuk immediately following the elbow but did not last season.

After a rough season last year, Kings are responding the way they should when liberties are taken. Team cares about each other which only bodes well for the rest of the season.
This is why I want MacD in the lineup in every single regular season game. He can ride the pine in the POs, but he is worth his weight in gold protecting our guys. I've seen this dude bulldoze two opponents behind their goalie and just hold them both down.

He's also had some solid games for us.

God, I love MacD.

2 games for (literally) trying to concuss another player. doesn't even matter who the players involved are, that's f***ing pathetic for a league that claims to be cracking down on this stuff

2 games doesn't teach anyone a lesson, $21k in forfeited salary doesn't teach a lesson to someone making $2M this year alone. good luck trying to bury this kind of crap when the lawyers come knocking for the inevitable lawsuit.

Does Maroon have a track record with the Department of Player Safety? If not then a 5 minute major and 2 games seems reasonable to me.

DD even defended Maroon after the game saying something along the lines of: “ive known him s long time and I’m sure he wasn’t trying to cause injury...”

it's in line with what the DOPS does, but i think what the DOPS does is too little, across the board. if they're trying to minimize concussions, they have to come down hard on stuff like this.
