i don't like these games with a ton of power plays

no flow to the first half of that period, then we got a bit of good back and forth

The Kings announcer uses hockey words we all know all the time inappropriately. It’s annoying after awhile. Muzzin with excellent “backcheck” after he gets turnstiled around? That’s not what backchecking is. Nice recovery by Muzz though. But, as I say, the list of terms used incorrectly is starting to be rather ridiculous.

i mean it was a backcheck ultimately but i get what you're saying. my main gripe is how he uses "hip check" to describe most checks

PP looked better, play as a whole looked better until the end of the period, thought it was good back and forth in general. We won't be that bad on faceoffs all night, and we have to make them pay for the turnovers our forecheck is finally generating.

would love to see them occasionally switch it up and send 2 guys in on the forecheck

i know that's a big part of the identity of this team but i feel like they're so ready to peel off sometimes that they miss opportunities to jump passes

I'd love it if they occasionally switched it up and scored a goal. ;)

In general I agree, but tonight it's working better just stopping them at their own blueline. Over committing allows them to do that quick strike bullshit, whereas forcing them to skate into us is causing turnovers. Only real puckmover they have is Burns.
