The Red Wings are really bad, so I’m pretty sure they don’t get in.

But I’m also extremely sure they have one more win in them before the winning streak is snapped. I don’t think the streak is getting snapped by joke Seattle.

They’re in a playoff spot as of now. Tied with Columbus on pt% but have the RW tiebreaker (even on games played).

They are (though probably part of it was Lalonde was a bad coach). But also who’s going to jump ahead of them? The Rangers maybe, but that’s it.
Well, I think the Lightning should get in over at least one of those two.

They should, doesn’t mean they will. And they currently have the points percentage over both.

I think the Rangers are done. They couldn’t afford the week they just had. At this point they probably need their best run of the season to get into the playoffs.

They need to play at a 104 point pace the rest of the way just to get to 92 points.

Moneypuck has not been at all bullish on the Blue Jackets getting in. Coming into today they had the Red Wings, Islanders, Rangers and Boston all with better odds than them out of teams that entered today out of a playoff spot. They were only at 21.8%. Whereas the Islanders and Red Wings they both had at 37.7%, Rangers at 35.2% and Boston at 25.2%. I’m thinking the updated odds in the morning will have them even lower with the Red Wings and Rangers both winning.

Hockeyviz had them at 42.7% today with everyone else being significantly under that.

The athletic had them at 36% and they were tied with I think the Islanders and above Detroit, but it quickly disappeared before I could really put everything into perspective, as I’m not a subscriber. I should have taken a screenshot haha.

I was still buying the Rangers possibly rallying back about a week ago.

Not no more.
The way they've been playing after their ten-game point streak has been better-ish than their previous down bad streak. But it's not the kind of play that will get them into the playoffs. There's a hockey YouTuber named Eck who is a Rangers fan that wasn't even buying them during that hot stretch- it was their easiest part of the schedule.

Shesty isn't at 100% power either, so that's not helping matters.

One other team who has taken a dramatic plunge after a really hot start are the Minnesota Hiney Heads.

I notice they’re losing a lot when I do my goal reviews and knew Kaprizov is out and I think he’s been in and a few times injured. I didn’t know they were only one point ahead of the first wild card spot Colorado and in danger of falling into a wild card.

They’re still pretty safe from wild card 2 and the playoff cutoff line.

They are a pretty mid team and the injuries have killed them.

The Wild had 35 shots against Boston but apparently not a lot of them were high quality- par for the course for a team coached by the bald man. I'm not sure how much of that is on him, though. They've been ruined by injuries.

You’ll have to imagine what the fight was like but…

1st double penalty:

Then got tossed for this, second tweet has footage of the cheap shot away from the play.

It really shows how mentally fragile the Sabres are too. But that is par for the course with Ruff- he never could right the ship for us when things took a turn for the worse.
The immediate blame for this catastrophe isn't on Lindy, it's on Kevyn Milbury who constructed a roster in the dumbest fashion imaginable that was guaranteed to fail (of course ultimate blame goes to Pegula). What did anyone expect a roster of children to do when things went wrong?
