I defend Muzzin in spite of his faults, so I'll take heat for that. Because regardless of his faults, he's a #2 d-man. His faults--brainfart turnovers, mostly--are what keep him from being a true #1. He's easily a top-30 d-man in the NHL, we're just spoiled on what that looks like because of Drew Doughty (and hell people talk Drew down around here at times as well so that should tell you everything).

Sure, and I defend him too because he's a top D on one of the consistently best defensive teams for the past what? 4-5 years? That doesn't mean I don't know he has shortcomings. There's also a difference between "That was a terrible play" and "He's a stupid as a rotten turnip". Even the latter is understandable once and a while in a moment of frustration, but every single game, month after month... it just gets old.
