Love how mentally soft the team is this year. f***ing pathetic. Same shit we’ve watched since what 2012?

twice in OT petey bee-lined it to the bench early after we lost possession, missing out on a second chance opportunity when we quickly regained possession

is something up with his conditioning or is it a confidence thing where he is just not feeling like he can press?
Honestly if you look at the bench it seems like they wanted quick changes and were calling for it. Which didnt happen with Miller at the end there for w/e reason.

I took that as being disciplined and keeping fresh legs on the ice when given the opportunity. Bad things happen when you don't...

Duncan
Team is so mentally fragile
I don't know ... maybe. Seems more like they don't know what they are and you've got at least one or two players a game stinking things up and then the officiating just being random.

Tonight it was Myers turn, but Garland missing so many excellent chances was likely the biggest fail. The Canucks win quite easily if he has any finish at all. That was freaking brutal. He's been great this year, so I'm not hating the guy, but holy crap that sucked.

I can't take this league seriously after watching that Myers call and then OT. It's just so mediocre of a product.

Myers penalty was not a penalty. Same “cross check” miller got a penalty for against colarado last game. They don’t call that if we weren’t up a goal and got the last PP. I could see that Penalty coming from a mile away

Dylan Guenther with the tying goal tonight. Clutch for them.
Yep....The ghost of Jim Benning will haunt the Canucks as long as Guenther in in the league.

Probably a fair result though. The Canuck blueline was once again exposed by Utah's speed up front, and a lack of mobility and a poor first pass. They're just so ponderous and slow without Hronek in the lineup. But no quick fixes.

What gets me is that Maata and Valimaki were picked up by Utah for a song. And both looked good tonight. Skated and transitioned the puck far better than almost anyone the Canucks have right now.

Not sure what they'll have left in the tank for Vegas tomorrow night.

I had to go rewatch the Myers penalty. What an absolute weak call. You can't tell me game management doesn't exist in today hockey! Not only that, none of the penalties taken by both clubs tonight I thought were a penalty. The refs should just let the teams play.

Demko was solid. Probably should of had that last one but he kept us in it.

Garland had his chances to finish this one off, if only he could bury one of his 5.

Miller really needs to know when to get off of the ice.

Tochett needs to get over his obsession with Myers. Once again in the dying minutes.. COME ON!!!

Overall a really boring game, exciting finish, disappointing result.

Canucks blew it in this one.

Nobody wants to talk about the 2nd and 3rd goals were saveable?

TD35 has to eat some of this.
I would say that the first and third were savable.

First goal he has to have that rebound.

OT goal was a weak backhander by a defenceman who didn't even receive the pass cleanly because Soucy got a stick on it.

Yeah that's a game management call for sure. Honestly, calling that on Myers is pretty smart as our fans will be much less likely to be annoyed, lol.

Could be just wanting to keep shifts short playing in the Delta Center which is above 4,000 feet above sea level.

Demko is naturally good but there's a huge difference between him now and before his injury.

I figure were going to be seeing give up a bad goal game from here on out

Team has a weird vibe. Beginning to wonder if the Canucks might actually do the Luongo-Schneider maneuver and trade both of Miller and Pettersson.

To get a player of Pettersson's caliber, you usually need to be picking in the top 2. Getting rid of him would be an incredible mistake unless we're tearing it all down.
