The more I watch Kopitar the less I like him. Laziest player on the roster. DD talks about lack of compete, lack of emotion, lack of effort. Look no further than the captain. Even goes thru the typical cliches in interviews, no emotion, lack of accountability. Seriously wished he'd be benched like NJ did Hall in their previous game. Send a F-ing message to the room by sitting his sackless arse.

So tired of Kopitar. If Blake had an ounce of passion for the Kings, he'd being doing his due diligence in trying to deal him. Don't care about a NMC, earn your f-ing paycheck and get it done. Believe me, it'll be addition by subtraction. So tired

Sad when the highest scoring forward the last few weeks is Clifford.

Good to see Leipsic, kid is a refreshing add.

Thank baby Jesus WD split up Carter-Toffoli. That was a positive.

Wagner looks more comfortable each game. He and Kempe and Toffoli looked decent.

That's it. Pretty much hate this team right now.

The dude has no fight in him. He's lost nearly every board battle this season.

Was nice to see Drew playing with a bit of fire in him last night. I think it was carrying over for some of the new kids but then they got stung with a goal against and that killed any momentum and care after that.

This doesn't ring true at all. The players wanted a different style of play. Go back an look at the interviews Kopitar and Doughty gave after Sutter was fired.
The style of play was very demanding but CDS was the guy that pretty much caused the players to revolt and barricade the locker room... unfortunately, they now realize that the heavy style of play CDS installed was the reason they were feared... although we had much better fitting talent then... that style of play is still a winning formula we just don’t have the personnel to run it!

Doughty let that in
I'm really surprised there hasn't been more discussion of this here. I was at the game and from our perspective, it looked like Doughty EASILY could have prevented the empty netter. Everyone around me kind of looked at each other and said "did he just let that go in??" Especially disgraceful in light of his post-game quotes imo.

They were down by 2 with 8 seconds left. Who cares?

I said the same shit while watching it on TV - it was almost like he wanted it to go in.

I've been watching hockey for 45 years and I've never seen that before, not even in an exhibition or an all-star game.
I've been watching hockey for 35 years and while I can't say I can recall a specific instance like this, I can say that given the circumstances I don't think it's an issue that Doughty didn't bust his ass to keep that puck from going in.

EDIT: Especially considering he was at the end of a 2 minute shift.

I still don't think he could have gotten it. I think it was an optical illusion, the puck landed father back and faster than it seemed. He would have had to go all out at the net and dive into the goal hoping to tap it off course. He was pretty defeated at the end and his after game quotes confirm it. I don't think anyone can question his efforts during that game when it mattered.

Edit - Not to mention he was on the ice for like the last half of that period practically, there was less than ten seconds left and they were down by two.

that bounced near the dot, he was at about the middle of the blue line

he wasn't gonna get there and he was banking on the icing call anyway

there's nothing to be mad at him about

ok I just watched the video of the play and it didn't look nearly as bad (like I said I saw it live last night and my perspective was from behind the opposite goal). The puck was moving faster than I thought and Doughty would have really had to dive to get it and even then it was probably 50/50 at best.

Netflix season 2 or the filmed season 2? I swear I've never seen a tv show with a more confusing release schedule and air date...

netflix season 2

i cant even look up what that correlates to on the bbc version for fear of spoilers

Question : When Forbort made that save, that was cool. Quick was off to his right and would have gone in. Clearly, that was a shot on goal. Clearly, Forbort made the save.
So, does Quick get credited for the save? Don't really care and doesn't matter. But a shot on goal is either a goal or a save. Just seems weird Quick would get credited for a
save...maybe the ruling that saves can be a team thing? Of course, this is kind of rare. Some defensmen make saves near the goal, but many the goalie still may ahve made the
save as well...but that was clearly going to be a goal and Forbort clearly made the save.
