With all due seriousness,if the Kings are scouting Lightnings big club it's got to be a quality piece not just a cap dump.

Good shift. Doughty really does need a more capable partner for those kind of finesse plays.

That shift was exactly what I meant. Doughty, kopitar, Iafallo, Brown all cycling really really well, Forbort gets the puck and the trombone starts playing until he coughs it up quietly in a corner somewhere.

He won't often make like an egregious turnover, but you might as well just cover everyone else and let him give you the puck because he's utterly harmless with it.

Next season the Lightning have 5.6 million in projected cap space. They have Point up for a new huge contract and will be losing Stralman, Coburn and Girardi off of the blue line. They have to make a move before next season, the only question is who. Only Miller, Kucherov and Gourde have significant cap hits without a NTC/NMC.

Johnson has a full no trade clause. I doubt he would agree to move away from his tax haven. Also, taking on Killorn and Johnson is 10 million, not many teams can take that kind of hit on.

For sure. He took the puck around and threw it in a soft spot. Obviously he doesn't have the confidence to do much with it cause it's beyond his skillset which obviously isn't to say that the Kings should expect him to make offensive plays when he's never been that guy.

Doughty needs a partner who's more offensively talented so they can vibe off one another.. Forbort is the lame duck and everyone knows it, which in all honesty, neuters Doughty.
