Forbort was off to the side of Quick. Quick sliding on his knees and it just goes through his legs from FAR out. Bad goal. That is all on Quick. All three goals against him he did not have much composure or balance. He was basically down and not under control.

Kings deserved at least a point out of that game for the first time all year, but self inflicted wounds. Not scoring on breakaways, terrible pp at the end, goal called back, just the shit side of the coin flips all night on what was otherwise a really competitive game, and Quick's rust showed.

Secondary scoring still a major weakness.

Kovalchuk still played 3rd liner minutes and is not being utilized on the PP.

Always happy when Brown and Kopitar score. Kopitar's my favorite player and the fan boy in me wants Brown to retire a King.

That and the icing f*** up were inexcusable, just all ego, "we want to go home" sort of anger displayed all over their faces.

Yeah, Quick looked rusty, but as much as I despise Clipboard Willy I think playing Quick tonight was the right call. Petersen has been playing a lot of games and forcing him to play both ends of a back to back would be too much. Also, I liked our chances against Edmonton more than against the Flames.

Genuinely feel for the team after this loss, was the most heart I've seen out of them from start to finish all year. Will be a fun game vs. Calgary if they bring the same vinegar tomorrow.

It was Pearson, LaDue, and a 1st, and it was when Pearson was flying high, LaDue was a 2nd pairing heir apparent to fill the Voynov hole, and no one in their right mind wanted to give up a first rounder for a guy who COULD bounce back but at the time had a Dustin Brownish 33 point season after two 50 point seasons, never mind just being a "kings style" forward.

That's significantly different than "lol those idiots didn't want to give up LaDue for Landeskog."
