Canucks hosed by Sutherland.... again. Gutless refereeing. Can't make a call. Outright trip in OT. Huge boarding penalty on Sherwood. Hook on Garland and on and on. Makes the League a joke.

Garbage play by Boeser in the end. Moves the puck to Suter might have the better shot) and you open up the options. Goalie has to sell out to stop Suter and the pass back makes it easy. Instead goes for the hero role in his hometown.

Canucks played very well and got some good work out of bottom end of the defense. Maybe Desharnais's best effort and Juulsen was actually quite good.

Myers has filled in for Hronek adequately and maybe he and Hughes might work as a pair.

Lankanin looked out of gas in the third and was not stopping shots he usually does. The Demko drama goes on but they need him to finally be ready. Something like "waiting for Gudot".

Hoglander featured in this game so reports of him being scouted seem confirmed. Played decently but be huge if he had scored on his chances.

Joshua is not coming off the cancer problem very well. Looks very awkward and stuck in traffic all the time. Needs time to get back up to game speed and you hope he can. Saw Tocchet on him several times on the bench.

Player that surprised me was Sasson. He has good speed through the neutral zone. Other parts of his game need work (especially decision making) but having NHL speed is the baseline for any prospect. Fourth line stayed out of trouble and, at this point, that is likely as much as you can hope for.

Heinen play continues to pick up. Looks like he knows his role better and is more committed than earlier in the season.

Garland had another excellent game. See his game time moving up to approaching half a game.

All in all, a great road trip but unfortunate not to win this one when they screwed up what should have been the winning goal and got cheated repeatly by abysmal refereeing.

Canucks outshot them in regulation while on the road and undermanned. I was not persuaded that Minneosta's assent in the standings is going to result in anything meaningful, Minnesota was as Mild and toothless as ever.

Anyways, great road trip all in all. Would have liked the second point, they deserved the second point, but 4-1-1 is a fantastic road trip result with all the adversity the Canucks are in the midst of.

About as gutsy an effort from a road-team ending a marathon 6-game roadie as you could ever expect.

Canucks actually out-shot and out-chanced the Wild in the third period. And once you get into OT, it's a crapshoot.

But how is that trip in OT not called?......it eliminated an odd-man rush that might have resulted in the winner. Wild were taking liberties along the wall with boarding and high-hits. Refs just had a bad night.
Bad nights every night are not coincidence its nhl game plan

All of this.

Now compare this game to the one the refs literally handed to the Bruins in ot tonight.... look it up if you haven't seen it. Disgusting.

And unfortunately it's not just us or canucks luck or whatever, it is nearly. Every. Single. Game. It's unbelievable.
Refs are just flat out so bad right now, I get they're trying but they're failing miserably and it's making the product borderline unwatchable.

Also unfortunately it's the nhls Disgusting whoring to gambling that's really made the issues glaring.
Watching alot of teams almost every day the amount the refs impact the entire trajectory of the game is unreal.
Sometimes in the first few minutes, frequently in the last few, but guaranteed multiple times a game the refs are blowing calls one or both ways.
Reffing has been a joke for all teams for years now. I've got a theory that their job is to keep the game as close as possible and give teams every chance they need to get back into hockey games.

They keep fans engaged till the end. The amount of make up calls and trying to make it appear fair on the score sheet is a joke.

A team can be up 2-0 and the team with 0 goals could take a blatant penalty, refs will ignore it. The next play the team up 2-0 can breathe of the opposing player and get called for it. Its become a micky mouse league.

This game made me drink more than I should have and it prob shows in my response. I'm pissed the f*** off at the shit reffing.

there's that patented Minnesota Nice™
Lol, yup. In fairness I edited before you could quote it (dont like opposing fans consoling us after a loss so totally get it). I was just saying that I would love to see a PO series against you all, think it would be killer. But meant it for my fellow fans.

The league claims that it's committed to 'player safety' but tonight there were some hits by the Wild that were reckless and dangerous.

And if they're not going to get called, then the players start to take matters into their own hands. If this is the way Minnesota plays against other teams, it's not much wonder that their best player Kaprizov is being targeted.

If you want to continually cheap-shot another team, you have to expect some retribution.

The league ain't committed to jack shit. All they are committed to is profit, and protecting their refs who presumably have egos that are fragile flowers made of toilet paper.

No accountability, no integrity, controlling the game at will, f***ing up calls left right and inside out.
