I can't remember who said Joshua looks awful this game and I forgot to respond to it earlier:

I was going to say the next shift he'll make some insanely impressive play.

And then he almost got them a goal on his next shift.

Such an interesting player man I do not understand Garland and Joshua at all. I don't get why they look so different shift to shift

I think Joshua makes a lot of quietly clever plays, but doesn't have the feet - particularly the explosiveness - to get himself where he needs to be all the time.

Team doesn't look good when both Miller and Pettersson are having off games.

Pettersson's had an off month, and Miller has been overdue for a bad game for a while.

I thought pettersson looked fine the last 1/3rd of the period when I started watching

Vegas anytime they play us

Like I said before, we'll get eaten alive by Vegas if we continue to play like we have for the last dozen games.

Miller back to being on an island and trying to do too much.

Petey line too soft and can't get to the front of the net. All perimeter.

3rd line only line going but lack finish.

Defense is a mess when you have Myers playing top 4.

Even Hughes/Hronek im not sure will work in the playoffs, too small.

Vegas is not even trying that hard.

Miller needed to be more patient on that PP, I don't understand why guys don't read how the game pace is going.

They're running around and disorganized during 5v5, you get a second PP you need to settle it down, set up a play, get your usual habits running. Not take an high early wrister from range through traffic that will probably ring out of the zone if it misses.

Yeah I’m not a huge fan of Mikheyev to be quite honest. Very low energy, one and done player.

I’d honestly try and move him before Garland. Unpopular opinion.

Keep hoping it's just that he doesn't have the legs like he's used to due to the injury and long layoff. Dude skates like a freighter out there. Acceleration, turning, whatever - everything takes f***ing forever.

Mikheyev not only looks like he's lost 2 steps but he seems to be tentative, almost like he's scared to get injured.

I really like mikheyev but in the two seasons hes been here I have yet to see this speed everyone has been talking about. i hope he proves me wrong tonight

We need to try EP/Kuz/Hogs, they need the winger to muck and do the dirty work. Neither Mikheyev or Kuz has been doing that.

Same issue with Miller line. Boeser is improved this year but in terms of wheels he is what he is. If Miller is off, PDG has to be even more meat and potatoes than he usually is...but he's been in a slump for a few games now. They need to cycle in someone who will give them some energy and speed.

Basically we're playing the bottom-6 against Vegas.

I was worried when that injury happened.

We saw it with Roussel. Roussel was a buzzsaw, legitimately good 3rd line player. After the knee injury, he looked like a middle tier AHLer.

I would give Mikheyev a half season here to see if he can get it back, because the rest of his game seems there/better than it was in Toronto.

But the skating and energy is so far from what it was in Toronto. Or preseason last year.
