Kind of an aside at this point but last night was the third time Lindholm has crosschecked a King in the head/face violently this season. Wonder when people start looking at that.

Also, I cant be the only one that wants OT PPs to be 3-on-2. Avoid the shootout.

OT penalties were one of the subjects the GM's talked about at their meetings last week. Some suggested cutting OT penalties to 1 minute. They (GM's) were pleased with the enforcement of the slashing penalties. I recall at the summer meetings, there was a school of thought to add 3 minutes to OT, among other topics, to increase the percentage of wins on OT and not Shootouts.

Maybe in summation they were happy last week but that seems to have fallen off the map again already, stick fouls are definitely back up in my viewings.

Teams seem to be playimg more conservatively 3v3 this year. Unfortunate.

Yep, annoying. Most teams are playing one forward, two d, and just playing keep away until the other team gets tired and trapped for a change. It's a 'smart strategy,' but so is the trap.

Yeah, he was going after Brown really good with his stick in front of the net .He'll keep doing it until he's caught.

You mean like this one? Richie water skied from the blueline to the net hooking onto Brodzinski.

That was one of three good ones on that shift. Ducks were actively TRYING to take a penalty to get a stoppage and couldn't...then play went down to our end and they grabbed MacD for comparatively nothing :dunno:

But between that and the noncalls on hacking, we're right back to square one.

King fans everywhere secretly hoping AA has a 'upper body injury' from that fight and is gone for 2-3 months after that...

I've not read all the thread and this isn't the only post I've seen of its nature, but its the worst one I've seen hence its the one I'm calling out.

Hoping any player, let alone one of ours has a concussion is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourself. You'll try to justify yourself by saying somethin equally pathetic like 'oh, its banter, get over it'. After seeing what concussions did to Adam Deadmarsh. I can't believe anyone would wish it on one of our own, even if they just think they are being 'funny'. Not funny, at all.

For the record I'm no AA fan either, I don't want him on the ice at any time. However, I do hope he is fit and well for selection as soon as possible.

personally i interpret that more as using the injury as an excuse to get him out of the lineup permanently, rather than wishing that he has an injury

but that's just me

I think the AA injury is unfortunate. I am also not a fan of him on the roster but I also don’t think the tough guy position is one the NHL really needs.

As I get older the less I like fighting in the game.

There really isn't a tough guy position anymore. You won't see guys like Luke Gazdic, Raitis Ivanans, etc in the NHL. The "tough guys" that are in the league can actually play. (Wilson, Dorsett, Anderson, etc.) Fighting is 100% needed in the game. Unless you want rats like Tkachuk/Roussel running around taking liberties and being able to do nothing about it.
