We really don't deserve to even be within 2 points right now with the way the team has been stinking up the joint.


Of course....if we got any REAL Goaltending(I'm looking at you, Moose), we might have won a couple of more games at least.

Dude, the behavior of the Sabres in this game was like Flyers level bad. And their fans condoning that garbage and coming here to taunt us after a SO win? Gross. What a garbage team.

Daren Millard calls out the Sabres on twitter, and of course he's getting attacked. He's just telling the truth.
 
This was a 6 seed that lost a top player sans capable replacement.

I think our early good play was an aberration, we aren't this bad, but we aren't that good.

This is true. The only reason I say it is because it seemed like once a week during the playoffs/parise garbage I the was getting an infraction for the simplest things.

Man, **** Buffalo. They really put on some display today. And I know that I'm not just venting because this is easily the most annoyed I have been with any team the Devils have played this year. I mean they play like a bunch of *****es.
 
Buffalo is still insecure about how tough they really are. After that Lucic run, they were lambasted by the media. Now they put on this tough guy mantra to cover it up.

One fight tonight, and they lost it.

Lou can't wait for Zubes to get back.

Nothing's gonna change until he brings in 2 high quality players. A forward and defensemen.

Losing to a garbage Buff team without Vanek and getting swept by an average Winnipeg team is unacceptable.

They have not looked good since the Rags game.

Gotta love it. They put on this tough act now, and their an even crappier team than before.:laugh:
 
I had a concert so I could only really watch the third, but I did not think they played badly in third. Absolutely the better team. We never got a chance to do anything in OT because of the penalties.

We got a point. Tallinder looks like he's not going to leave the D corps unless he's traded. Henrique scored. Loktionov is not bad at all. Some good things in this game.

And Miller is a little girl who should play badminton or something. Hockey is for real men.
 
Is it weird that all I can think of at the moment is an image of myself running over Miller?

Where is he going to get one "high quality player", let alone 2 including one defenseman? And what makes you think that would fix the issues right now?

No player coming in is going to fix this, especially when see that it's really not any one thing in particular. One night it's the PK being garbage, another night it's the offense being inept, another night it's the defense that breaks down, another time it's crappy goaltending, etc. etc. Sometimes it is a combination of a couple of these things at the same time.

I see the last two games as improvements in their overall play, and I fully expect a win on Monday against Toronto. If they lose again, particularly in regulation, then Lou has his hands full trying to figure out what the issue is.

Amen. Seriously what are the consequences these guys face? There is no accountability in officiating. And this league is in denial about this problem. Everytime the fans express their concern about the bad officiating in this league, it gets dismissed. "It's a fast game and a tough job", "Bad calls go both ways, it evens out in the end", "Fans complain about the referees only when their team loses", "The other leagues don't have great officiating either". All these cop outs to cover up what a ****** job they do. It's disgusting and it is ruining the game.
